The Client
Grayhawk Venture Partners is a $60 million Small Business Investment
Company providing venture capital to early stage and growth-stage
companies based in the Southwest.
The Challenge
Over the course of many years, Grayhawk Venture Partners (GVP)
had spent a considerable amount of time pursuing a website strategy
and solution without results. They didn't want to design and build
a site that incorrectly positioned their firm, which has deep
connections
in the southwest.
The Solution
We held a series of about a half dozen Blueprint
sessions with Grayhawk. Throughout these meetings we worked to
uncover the intricate ways Grayhawk does business to communicate
it online.
In our strategy sessions, we:
- Learned about the GVP business process
- Asked about their internet preferences to get basic
direction
- Worked to define what content is important on the
site
- Create site maps and determined navigation methods
- Created page level wireframes (content diagrams
which define page level screen detail without design)
- Defined actual content needs for a copywriter
At the conclusion of our Blueprint process, Grayhawk knew exactly
what their web site would accomplish and how it would navigate and
function.
